A fine and important American Classical Mahogany Console table attributed Deming & Bulkley, New York City, c. 1820. The shaped marble top over a rectangular frieze with canted corners supported by full front columns over a base on animal paw feet. The frieze, entirely decorated with a gilt stenciling, the columns are parcel gilt and painted. The feet are decorated similarly. Condition is very good. Circa: 1820. Dimensions: Height: 29", Depth: 20", Width: 35".

Enjoy this unique midcentury and original mixed media abstract painting Approx. 26" x 19" on composite board titled Storm Fragments by David W. Scott (1916-2009), circa 1963. Scott was not only an abstract artist, but also served as founding director of the National Museum of American Art. He played an integral role in the expansion of the National Gallery of Art, among many other notable life achievements. This particular oeuvre is typical of Scott’s “mindscapes” and features a wide breadth of painting techniques including ink washes, pallet knife mark making, and traditional brushwork. Signed by Scott to the lower right side in pencil. Presented behind black mat, in a beveled wood frame with silver tone finish.
Approx. 26" x 19"
Artwork in good condition though frame shows some wear.
