BIO
Chris Riggs is an international contemporary artist from NYC. His iconic signature is Love and Peace layered style murals and paintings which he began in 1988 in New York. He is also well known for his colorful abstract canvases and murals. Chris has painted them around the world including France, Russia, England, Italy, Greece, South Korea, Germany and many other places. Chris believes that Love and Peace are the most important things in life, and his main goal is to bring those values to the world through his artworks.
Chris’ first exhibition was in 1985 in the New York City Transit System by Mayor Ed Koch, in a citywide art contest for all New York City schools. This event kicked off Chris’ career as an artist and he has been painting and drawing without stopping since then. Chris received a Bachelor of Liberal Arts and Science at The City College of the City University of New York. Chris Riggs is a TEDx speaker. Chris had a solo art exhibition at Bloomingdales 59 Street New York as well as window murals in the 59th street store and the Soho location. He designed the windows for Bloomingdales. Also, Saks Fifth Avenue did photoshoot with Riggs’s art and Good Luck Dry Cleaners Gallery in Brooklyn.
