You'll want to walk up to it and look closely at the interesting seaside seashell feel it has. It looks like nature! It will look beautiful anywhere in your home or would be a really elegant piece for your office over your desk. Very zen/spa, beach house serene! It is a large abstract which could also be beautiful in a shabby chic decor.

The painting is much more beautiful in person! It has touches of Molton Gold on and around the painting which takes on different qualities in different lighting or the lack thereof. An astonishing original Georgian late 18th Century Portrait Miniature or Portrait Pendant.

Inside a handmade exceptionally rare frame of pressed horn is cased a signed original Georgian portrait painting of a beautiful woman in a powdered wig ready for a ball. There are pink roses in her hair and decorating her decolletage which are beautifully offset by the pink silk of her gown.

The pressed horn handmade frame is so unusual to find! It is made more special by glorious details of sterling silver and ormolu inlay to the reverse depicting a bouquet.

This collectors painting would make that stunning fit or perfect accessory for someone with exquisite taste and discernment who loves fine antiques.

The portrait is signed in cursive writing by the artist. It looks to me like D D Saint but I could be mistaken with my translation of this early signature.

It is in exquisite condition. There is minor wear to the ormolu which attest to it's authenticity. The frame itself also shows patina.

This lovely antique portrait measures 3 1/4 " in diameter (82mm). The bale itself adds an additional 7/16" in length (11mm).
